Oseon production control software – innovations

In many cases, bending creates a bottleneck in production. One factor that may play a role is that too many retrofit operations are being made on the manual bending machine. 

This is exactly where the Tool Setup Optimizer in Oseon provides support. This software analyses the bending tool clamping for approved production orders directly on the shop floor with a single click. This process creates bending packages that contain multiple production orders, which can be bent using an optimised, automatically generated tool setup. This results in a significant reduction in setup times for bending.

New functionality for all manual workstations (e.g. deburring): multiple production orders can be started or completed as bundles.

An added advantage is the significant reduction in time required for production orders with short processing times.

For part separation, you can now easily create remainder sheets via the web app. Using a new dialog, you can enter all the information required for the booking, such as destination warehouse, length, width and quantity.

In addition to the previous information, the following data is now also displayed via the web app:

• Actual and required quantity of cut parts for the production order
• Quantity of parts already separated for the production order

These enhancements provide a clearer overview of the current processing status in production and indicate whether additional parts are expected for this order.

The modern user interface of the Oseon Logistics Web App is now designed for optimal use with a TRUMPF TruStore. Simple to use and easy to learn, it enables faster and more efficient workflows for your TRUMPF TruStore.

The order utilisation of each workstation is displayed on a daily basis. All relevant production workstations are available at a glance. 

The new warehouse operating dialogue provides a comprehensive overview of all containers and stock at a single storage location. The operator can perform the following actions from this view: document goods receipt, add stock or containers, transfer stock, empty stock, and request or restock pallets in automated storage systems.

More stock information such as supplier, external delivery note number, and manufacturing order designation are now available in different views.

Simple docks without a sensor system can be integrated into the Oseon transport control system and used as a starting point or target location for the automatic creation of transport orders. The transport orders can be carried out both automatically and manually using the Oseon Logistics web app.

Automated storage systems can have multiple storage stations for material provision.

The machine operator wishes to request the required material from a coupled Stopa storage system to the station they are currently using, in order to proceed with order processing. 

Target values for individual machines are now shown in the pie chart of operating statuses. Deviations can be quickly identified, allowing for appropriate action to be taken.

High work-in-progress inventory levels tie up capital and often result in longer part search times. By analysing the trend of work-in-progress inventories at workstations, you can evaluate various categories, including the percentage of delayed operations and urgent orders.

In order to take targeted action, work-in-progress inventories are divided into categories. For example, urgent orders and delayed orders are shown separately so that direct remedial action can be taken.

The work-in-progress inventory is the quantity of orders released at a workstation, measured in hours. This is broken down into urgent orders, delayed orders, orders for today and orders for the future.

For production orders, the process times at workstations and idle times are displayed as a chart. This helps to identify the causes of delays in the event of deviations.

The workstation utilisation view indicates the average time an order waits at a workstation before being processed.

You can store different buffer times for different work operations. This enables the mapping of individual work scenarios and enhances planning quality.

If materials, external supplier parts or tools are required for an operation but are not yet available, an earliest start date can be defined.

The use of just-in-time scheduling ensures low inventory levels and high production efficiency. If individual orders are to be completed as quickly as possible while taking into account buffers for unforeseen events, these can still be loaded for as-soon-as-possible scheduling. This way, you can take advantage of both types of scheduling.

Changing workstations provides greater flexibility of execution. The relevant part separation is taken into account. If part separation occurs directly at the machine, they are scheduled directly after the cutting process without any waiting time.

It is possible to assign inspection characteristics to the order that the production employee should measure after specified inspection cycles. The digitalization of an additional process step eliminates the need for paper testing logs. At the same time, digitalization enhances process reliability compared to using paper. The operator receives reminders and mandatory specifications from the system.

Batch mode automatically selects valid commissioning packages and processes them in the order in which they were created. This means that no employee is required to initiate the next commissioning package.

Visualisation of the temporal development of circulating stocks at workstations. Thanks to the new transparency, optimisation opportunities for the processing sequence of orders in production can be identified and implemented.

Transport orders for raw materials are also created independently for workstations that are not linked to automated warehouses. These are then carried out specifically by logistics experts.

Stocks, containers and locations involved in transport orders are labelled in the Web interface for warehouse operation.

The utilisation view allows efficient use of available resources. In addition, the planning data analysis creates transparency with respect to your data quality and helps to resolve planning conflicts.

With the new Oseon version, the programming software (Programming Tube) and required logistics activities are integrated into the Oseon workflow.
